Radical Corporate Art

Business-oriented motivational posters with catchy captions and servile slogans. By Steven Streight. Email: vaspersthegrate [at] yahoo [dot] com

Feeding Tube 25th May 2005, 01:25
The company that forms a candid conversation with customers, via a blog, will be able to tell their side of the story.

If the company is honest, upfront, transparent, sincere, then the customers will trust the corporate communications.

Integrity and Authenticity can be demonstrated via a blog.

Blog...or watch your competitors steal the show.

Corporations are dying due to mistrust, bad management, and greed.

Blog...or your corporate life support system will be withdrawn by irate customers.

The Only Legitimate Purpose of a Business 24th May 2005, 22:31
"We're in business to make profit"

is like a child saying

"the purpose of Christmas
is for me to get all the gifts
I told Santa I want"

or

a man saying

"the purpose of marriage
is for me to always have
sex on demand."

Both child and husband
must be good,

then the results
they wish for might
be forthcoming.

How To Ruin a Blog 24th May 2005, 21:45
1. Fill blog with mundane trivia.
2. Fill blog with irrevelant information.
3. Fill blog with vain personal details.
4. Imagine that readers "like" you, so they'll gobble up anything you throw at them.
5. Imagine that transparency means revealing private, family, employer details indiscriminately.
6. Disable comments.
7. Be anonymous.
8. Provide no contact, bio, or about information.
9. Avoid interacting with readers and other bloggers.
10. Refrain from posting responses to blog comments within the comment threads.
11. Use hard to read typeface.
12. Use ugly or amateurish design.
13. Link only to your friends and allies ("clinking" clique/cult linking).
14. Hype products, downloads, merchandise.
15. Try to drive traffic to other sites, like your own ecommerce or corporate web site.
16. Feel offended with any disagreements or contrary opinions expressed in comments.
17. Leave comment spam on your blog.
18. Refrain from reciprocal linking: if another blogger posts a comment on your blog, ignore him or her and don't return the favor of posting a comment on their blog. You're "too busy" to do that.

This is the Edge 24th May 2005, 21:28
If you're not Leading Edge, you're dying in the chewy Safe Center, where the harm-caramel and mediocrity nuts live.
